Ayana

This project started with a beautiful antique court house in Fort Kochi. Retaining the charm of the old structure, while infusing it with a few understated art deco elements, was one of the key aspects of Project Ayana. In order to keep from losing the cultural context of the location, we also added artefacts that bring out the distinct Indian flavor of this spatial palette.

Predominantly, a monochromatic scheme was used for the public areas. However, contrast was induced through vibrant yet muted green inside the rooms. Also, the black and white flooring in a checkered pattern across the entire property, provides a classic base and texture to the space. This was needed to complement the white panelled and green painted walls.
