Estates club

Set in nandi hills a gated community, an abode for many nature loving residents. The Estates club is humble reflection of the rawness of the surrounding hills. The wooden slat roof engulfs the structure to visually mitigate the large mass of the building. The Wooden slats arrangement provides the necessary form yet allowing for unobstructed view where required. The natural setting of the hills largely influenced the size and location of the fenestration. The conscious choice of materials like mud plaster, wooden slats, like pigmented cement plaster, sardar Ali granite, Indian marble, kadappa stone are used to shift the attention outwards to the surrounding landscape and views. The roof top restaurant offers panoramic views of the three surrounding hills with central courtyard making it feel grounded. Planters with creepers are provided along the periphery such that in the future the wooden slat roof will be covered by green.
